Hey Everyone,

There was a server problem yesterday and the server which streams music is down for around 8-10 hours. My apologies for that. Actually, i don’t need to apologize, since its my provider who screwed up. Some other application on the server ran too many threads and it brought the server down. How lame?

This reminds me of the old saying “You get what you pay for”. I pay pennies for shared hosting and i get support worth pennies. Seriously folks, shared hosting sucks.

Hopefully, i get to move the music to a full fledged CDN someday and offer uninterrupted music.

First things first, my apologies for the delay in getting the site out in the wild. Thanks for waiting and I appreciate your patience.

If you are reading this, you probably would have explored the site. During your exploration, if the phrase “Its crazy dead simple” came to your mind, then the site lived its purpose. Paadal.com is designed to be simple and care is taken to avoid the usual bloat found in every other site. Hey, we don’t ask for your age/country while signing up. Just username, password, email and done! Who cares where you live, anyways?

The other difference you probably would have noticed is “No Ads”. Thats right! No “free ipod” ads to bother you in the middle of an Ilayaraja melody. No “Sexy Singles” popup to make you uncomfortable when opening the site at work.

This blog is the best place to find updates about new features and bug fixes (obviously, since the application is in beta).

My intention is to take this site as per your willing. Your feedback is important since it lays the foundation for new features and updates.
